Hallett Silbermann's latest acquisitions are a pair of Volvo FH 520 Globetrotter 8 x 4 (4 axle tractor units).

The tractors offer 520 BHP engines and can provide pulling capacity of 150 tonnes gross. They are ideally suited for Hallett Silbermann's heavy haulage operations and will operate with 4 and 5 axle fully steered low loader trailers providing a gross train weight of between 115 and 130 tonnes.

Hallett Silbermann provide a market-leading service in the field of heavy haulage operations. They are particularly well known for the transportation of piling equipment, abnormal loads, machine tools, military equipment, and general civil engineering plant.

However, the first outing for one unit was to attend the annual Cart Marking ceremony in the City of London where it was 'branded' to ply for trade in the City. This 300 year old tradition is performed by the Worshipful Company of Carmen, a city livery company, of which John Silbermann is a prominent Past Master.
