Hallett Silbermann are pleased to announce the addition to their fleet of a specialist 6 wheel rigid flat bed fitted with front mounted lorry loader to operate exclusively under contract for the ground engineering division of Galliford Try plc.

The Volvo FE340 truck meets Euro 5 emission standards and has fitted a PM24024SP hydraulic lorry loader crane that is capable of lifting 4.9 tonnes at 4.6 metre radius and 1.5 tonnes at the maximum reach of 12.05 metres.

The vehicle is equipped with electronic outrigger position monitoring, reversing camera, drop sides, folding bolster, fall-protection posts and handrails, and stability control by radio remote operation. Specifically geared up for heavy pile driving operations, the vehicle has double-drive rear axles for better traction on construction sites and also has fitted a heavy-duty platform with extra load securing points.

Our contract hire arrangements ensure our customers do not have to worry about operator licensing, vehicle maintenance, MOT testing, taxation, insurance and road traffic regulations. We take care of those issues ( and provide an experienced and reliable driver ) which allows our customers to concentrate on their core business activity.
